A former Juvenile and Adult Corrections Officer, Richard has trained in various Martial Arts and Fighting Systems for over the last 30 years. These arts have included Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Shotokan, Wing Chun, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, Iaido, and Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics.
Certified as a Chief Instructor in Choi Kwang Do by Grandmaster Kwang Jo Choi and in Universal Martial Art under Grandmaster Marshall Pereira, Richard brings a practical, modern approach to his training.
In addition to holding Chief Instructor status in CKD and UMA, Richard holds a Degree in Criminal Justice, is CPR, First Aid, O2 Administrator and First Responder certified and maintains a Level 2 Background Clearance with Pinellas County School System.
Jennifer trains with her Husband and Children and currently holds both 2nd Degree Black Belt and Chief Instructor Rating in both Choi Kwang Do and Universal Martial Art.
It is Jennifer's background in working with children however that truly sets her and our School apart.
She has worked extensively with individuals that have special needs and considerations such as those with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, and the Developmentally Challenged. She also has extensive medical knowledge and training and has done volunteer work with local Children's Hospitals and Patient Care Centers.
It is this background along with her patience and understanding that makes her an invaluable asset to our School as our Little Ninjas Instructor, Children's Coordinator, and Program Director.
Jennifer is CPR and First Aid Certified and as with all of our Instructors, maintains a Level 2 Background Clearance with the Pinellas County School System.
